Personal Identity Shoot: Direction & Visual Positioning

Type: Self-initiated | Scope: Creative direction, concept, Shoot direction| Photography by @antoine.zarini

I directed the project as a whole: defining the mood, references, narrative, styling, locations, and intended uses. The intention was not to create “perfect” images, but to establish a consistent feeling across them. Something grounded, tactile, and real. Natural light was used throughout, avoiding anything too artificial or polished. The focus was on texture, presence, and subtle imperfection. Each scene was designed with a purpose, from more structured portraits for professional use to more candid, process-oriented images. The editing followed the same logic: warmth, grain, and softness, without altering the reality of the body or skin. The visual direction sits between classic and personal.A familiar base, reinterpreted through detail. The corporate white shirt becomes a sheer silk blouse with texture and movement.A structured silhouette is softened through fabric, light, and posture. Colour is used deliberately, especially red, to introduce depth, warmth, and a sense of identity. Across all images, the intention was consistent: to feel composed, but not distant. Thoughtful, but still human.

2026

This project began with a practical need: creating a set of images to support the launch of my independent work. I had never really shown my face online before, and I needed visuals that felt aligned with the way I think, work, and relate to people. Rather than treating it as a simple photoshoot, I approached it as a full direction project: building a visual language that could translate both competence and warmth, structure and sensitivity.
